The Chicago Music Exchange Marketing & Graphic Design Intern will perform a variety of day-to-day tasks related to product and customer data management, website merchandising, social media outreach, store branding, e-newsletter distribution, blogging, print advertising and in-store events.  The skills that will be required include:

  • Confident designing imagery for e-newsletters, web, posters, and print
  • Detail-oriented, able to manage update customer and product info in our databases, content management system, email marketing program, etc.
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Eager and quick to learn new programs
  • Familiar with SEO practices and keyword usage a plus
  • HTML knowledge a huge bonus
  • Proficient with Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Guitar/gear knowledge preferred

Involvement will also include: working in-store events, participating in marketing strategy sessions, analyzing e-commerce data, and administrative tasks and merchandising where necessary.

This internship will use and build upon the skills you already have while giving you the opportunity to be part of a marketing department in a very exciting business environment.  We will provide valuable training throughout the internship related to our marketing programs and strategy.

Internship 15-20 hours per week for 3 months (possibly longer). Hours can be flexible; we will work around your class schedule.
